Check your username and password – usernames are case-sensitive. If you enabled two-factor sign-in, you also need the code from your authenticator app. You can create an account yourself in the app at any time.
On the sign-in screen tap “Forgot password?” and reset it with your recovery kit. Keep that kit safe: because your messages are end-to-end encrypted, nobody – not even we – can restore your account or your messages without the code.
Check the notification settings in your device's system settings and make sure notifications are enabled for Just Connect Here.
